Vintage Vision - 2017

This is the portrait of a woman from the 1920's in which I found myself charmed by her gaze. The shirt and the little design on the bottom were added to add a modern touch to a rather vintage subject matter. The interplay between the contrasting green and purple colors highlight the face and make the gaze more prominent. When creating designs I like to rely on intuition and draw whatever first comes into my mind. The compositions of Alexander Rodchenko have been a major driver for my recent experimentation with abstract designs.
